Yellow for Spring ...

As Spring is just around the corner it seemed appropriate to create a card with Spring colours.

I began by creating some washi tape using tissue paper, distress inks, stamps and double sided tape.  I stamped an heat embossed the daffodil before water colouring using distress inks.  I trimmed the image and using fun foam adhered it on top of the washi tape before stamping the sentiment.  I used the sketch from this week's challenge at "Less is More" as my inspiration (details below).

I used:

Distress Inks - Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin and Twisted Citron
STAMPlorations - Mixed Media Elements, Mixed Media Grunge,  Boxed Blooms and Bold Sentiments, The Birds and the Blooms.
WOW White Embossing Powder

I'm entering the following challenges:

  1. This is so crisp and fresh, Elaine. Great how you created your washi and the daffodil is so pretty.

  2. Ohhhh, so beautiful! I love the bright, cheerful yellows, and creating your own washi is a brilliant touch. Such a gorgeous flower <3 Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More :)

  3. Super card and such a delicate image beautifully coloured

  4. What an ingenious idea Elaine to create your own washi tape. It looks fantastic and obviously matches your stunning image perfectly. A wonderful take on this week's sketch challenge and thanks for playing along with us.

  5. Oh you clever girl Elaine! Never thought about creating my own washi tape so you have inspired me. You card is wonderful and you have made the zingy lemon colours look so soft. Love the white embossed image. Thanks so much for joining us at Less is More xx
